This semester is going by so fast, it’s a little late for a midterm, but I thought it would be good to check in with a few basic SQL questions. The midterm is open from April 27 through April 30 at midnight.
This week we take a little break from projects and catch up on some fun reading. Many of you have asked for more background into database design & modeling. I am including two articles that offer examples that you can follow along with using MySQL Workbench.
Next week we begin to explore web database concepts with HTML & PHP.

Jay,
Can you tell us about the midterm? How many questions and how long do you expect us to finish? Will it cover change 4-7 that we went through? What are the things we should focus on when studying? I have been so busy this week, I just found out we have a midterm and we have to take it by 4/20 midnight. It is close book? Are we allowed to or need to use MSQL workbench for some of the questions?
The SQL midterm has been posted on the curriculum and was in an email I sent earlier in the week. It is online, open book and you can use the internet and MySQL as resources. There are 9 multiple choice questions related directly to SQL.
