Hi Jay, I’m one of your Dreamweaver 2 and I’m having trouble getting into the student server through Dreamweaver.

The Error message I get is “‘to see files in this Repository you must “Define its version control settings.” I go to “Site Setup for intro to Dreamweaver” page everything is grayed out except “Acess: None second choice is “Subversion.” At bottom of page is “Adobe Version Control.” I stumbled into something I’ve never used before. It happen earlier in the week and I have tried to fix it but don’t know why I have Subversion chosen. I’ll see you in class at 4pm. Thank you for your time, Tim Boyle

You should not be using version control. In the Site Setup dialog, choose Version Control in the menu list on the left and set Access : None at the top of the screen. Subversion is a version control system build into Dreamweaver. Version control is important when there are more than one designer working on a website. Each designer needs to ‘check out’ any file they want to change, so that changes are not being made on any document by more than one person. Subversion provides this check in/check out feature built right into a Dreamweaver site. Subversion is not a topic in this class and your site should have the feature turned off.

I’m Judy Rutledge and write Crystal Reports and IBM queries for my work. My objective is learn more on SQL query writing for my work.

Once I finally figured out how to sign on the server I was ok. I took my time reading the material which made the questions easier.

Hope your summer is going well.
I’m wondering if you will be teaching a SEO class? I’d love to know how to build a site from scratch that includes good SEO practices.
    Any class oriented around WordPress?
Also, can you direct me to resources about making several CSS documents for different monitors (IPhone, desktop, whatever).
    Thanks,
    Linda
