Dreamweaver Assignments – Final Week – Due May 25
- Final Exam – Open May 20 – May 25 at midnight
- Final Project – Due May 25 at midnight – You can choose from several projects for your final exam and you can work in teams. You can choose to expand on the Cinco de Mayo example – including completing the processing of all the form data; expanding on the design of the HTML email, responder, form; adding to the functionality of the page, etc. Note that the student server does not allow for file uploads. As an alternative you can submit the Master/Detail SQL report as your final project, creating a multi-table database from which to build the report. You can also develop your own Final Project plan, please let me know you plan before you begin work on it.
- If you haven’t done so, please complete the Metrics that Matter survey. You get 5 points for letting me know that you completed the survey, even if you do so anonymously.
I am making progress in accessing the pieces of the Files and Post arrays. I cannot get the color to display in my email. I was looking through the blog/lecture notes to complete the final exam and I wonder if you addressed issues related to accessing information in check box/radio group subarrays in class? I feel like I should be able to access that information but have not yet located the silver bullet.
I also still cannot get the size to register in my database. I have the same line referring to type and that registers. I must be missing something small here, too.
Thanks!
Annette
Whoo hoo! Nevermind re getting the color to display! I finally figured it out though it took WAY too many hours.
File size into database still a problem. And will you want access to my database to see that it is actually logging the information or can you tell that simply from the code source? Let us know what data/access we need to turn in for our final project.
@annette – I don’t need to see the data in the database as long as there are no database errors.
for color codes, I found that I can’t use shorthand such as #6c5, it must be #66cc55 for the background color in the email. Otherwise it was all black!
Information from Dreamweaver student looking for help:
I’m looking just to get better faster. I get hung up on small things and would love to have a tutor I can email my problem too or meet with to get help.
I could pay you an agreed upon hourly rate. Does this sound like something you’d be interested in? If so, can you send me a couple links to projects you have done? I’ve attached my mid-term and final project links so you can a feel for where I’m at.
Thank you,
Kathleen Nelson
